Authorship Contribution Statement
Dental Research Today requires an authorship contribution statement to be included in every published article. This statement should clearly outline the specific contributions of each author to the research and manuscript preparation. The statement must include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Conception and Design: Identification of the authors responsible for the conceptual framework and study design.
  • Data Collection: Description of who was involved in data collection and acquisition.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Identification of authors who contributed to data analysis and interpretation.
  • Manuscript Drafting: Details on which authors drafted and revised the manuscript for critical intellectual content.

This statement ensures transparency and gives readers a clear understanding of each author's role in the research.

Contributors
Individuals who have contributed to the study but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged in the "Contributors" section. Contributions may include:

  • Assisting with data collection.
  • Contributing materials or analysis tools.
  • Providing technical support or statistical advice.

Acknowledgements
All contributors not meeting the authorship criteria should be listed in an acknowledgement section. This includes:

  • Financial support and sponsorship.
  • Administrative support.
  • Writing assistance, technical editing, language editing, and proofreading.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities
The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria.
  • Managing communication with the journal and responding to queries during the manuscript submission and review process.
  • Coordinating with co-authors for the final approval of the manuscript.

Changes in Authorship
Any changes in authorship (addition, deletion, or rearrangement) after manuscript submission must be approved by all authors, including those being added or removed. The corresponding author must provide the journal with written confirmation from all authors.
